Maine law requires that I fill out a buyer broker contract in order to be your agent in a real estate transaction. However, when I fill out the form I do it in such a way that you are not obligated to me. If an agent fills out the contract in its most generic form, he or she could have you owing them a commission on a property that they did not assist you with in buying. I would be glad to discuss this with you in depth at any point. I do not want any of my customers to feel like they are stuck with me, because of the way I filled out a form.
